Etsy fee estimation

See the order economics behind the selling price

This calculator estimates one U.S. Etsy Payments order in USD. It separates seller revenue, supported Etsy fees, seller-entered product and fulfillment costs, estimated payout, and profit so the checkout price is not mistaken for take-home earnings.

The supported fee model includes listing, transaction, U.S. payment-processing, optional Offsite Ads, and optional Share & Save. Use the scope and exclusions below before relying on a result.

How to use it

Turn your assumptions into a decision

  1. Enter the item price, quantity, and any personalization, shipping, gift-wrap, or sales-tax amounts for one order.
  2. Select only the supported fee options that apply, then enter your product, shipping, packaging, and other fulfillment costs.
  3. Review fees, payout, and profit separately, and compare important estimates with your Etsy Payment account.

Behind the result

Revenue and fee bases are calculated separately

Item revenue, add-ons, buyer-paid shipping, and gift wrap form seller revenue before fees. Sales tax is included in the buyer checkout total and payment-processing base, but it is not treated as seller revenue.

Each supported percentage fee is rounded to cents before the fee total is assembled. The estimated payout subtracts Etsy fees from seller revenue; estimated profit then subtracts the product and fulfillment costs you entered.

Common questions

Questions this estimate can clarify

Why can profit be much lower than the order total?
The buyer total can include sales tax, while seller revenue is reduced by supported fees and then by your entered product and fulfillment costs.
Does this cover every possible Etsy charge?
No. It covers only the U.S., USD, Etsy Payments fee types listed on this page. The exclusions identify charges and situations outside this version.
Why might an Etsy statement differ by a few cents?
The calculator rounds each estimated fee to the nearest cent. Etsy does not publish every cent-level rounding detail, and account adjustments can also differ.

A focused one-order estimate

Fee data checked August 3, 2026 against Etsy’s official Fees & Payments Policy, Etsy Payments Policy, Offsite Ads documentation, and Share & Save terms.

Etsy publishes its rates and fee bases but not every cent-level rounding detail. This calculator rounds each estimated fee to the nearest cent, so an Etsy statement may differ slightly.
